My parents worked tirelessly in low-paying jobs to provide for us—my mother sewed prison uniforms, while my father served as a hospital janitor. As the fourth of five siblings born in 1985, I grew up in a household that deeply valued hard work and perseverance.
My childhood was a blend of challenges and triumphs, each experience fortifying the resilience I carry today. As the only minority in my third-grade class at a new school, I faced a barrage of insults from peers. Unbeknownst to them, I was already accustomed to standing my ground, having been tested by my mischievous siblings at home. I cultivated a persona centered on toughness, earning a reputation as someone not to be trifled with. Those playground challenges ultimately transformed into cherished memories of resilience—stories I now share with my own children.
I excelled academically, embracing opportunities in advanced and college courses throughout middle and high school. Although limited resources temporarily postponed my university ambitions, my entrepreneurial upbringing instilled in me the audacity to forge my own path. An avid reader, I discovered a passion for Greek mythology in my elementary school library—a captivating realm that encouraged open-mindedness, despite my upbringing as a devout Jehovah's Witness. My childhood was filled with dreams of grand adventures and a fascination with the X-Men, allowing me to embrace my inner anti-hero (hello, Deadpool!).
Growing up with three older siblings exposed me to more gritty content than most, leaving me somewhat jaded toward mainstream entertainment. Without cable TV, my summers were spent binge-watching every episode of Matlock—a quirky choice that, in another universe, might have led me to become a high-profile criminal attorney advocating for the underdog. Together, these experiences have not only shaped my character but also equipped me to unlock transformative journeys in my life and the lives of others.
Over the past two decades, my entrepreneurial spirit has been forged in the fires of real-world experience. I've successfully closed 200 real estate transactions, leveraging a deep understanding of client needs and market dynamics. This intuitive approach has enabled me to devise, strategize, and negotiate solutions that exceed expectations, establishing myself as a pioneer in the Pacific Northwest real estate landscape.
Beyond real estate, I've developed and managed professional modeling careers for my children, securing representation with The Option Agency. This led to over 100 bookings with brands like Amazon, Nike, Gap, and Microsoft. My own modeling career began in 2020, earning placements in print and commercial ads for companies such as Microsoft and Nike. I’ve featured in national ad campaigns for giants like Nike and Stanley Brand, transforming every project into a compelling story. My creative vision and understanding of market dynamics have secured high-end editorial opportunities and consistent bookings for both myself and my children.
In addition to my professional successes, I recently earned a silver medal at the Jiu-Jitsu-Con Novice Championships in Las Vegas, showcasing my indomitable spirit and resilience. Currently, I'm channeling my eclectic skill set into my latest venture—Expand. This groundbreaking start-up is dedicated to empowering individuals by providing a space for confidential conversations that foster genuine human connection. While psilocybin and other psychedelics can enhance and expedite our growth, the most crucial factor lies in the "preparation," which can yield profound insights and revelations. Human connection is key; having the opportunity to share our "origin stories" and feel heard, seen, and valued is transformative. Many of my home-buying and selling clients, peers, and friends can attest to my ability to encourage openness and unlock insights that often go undiscovered. This process lays the groundwork for a psilocybin session, solidifying new insights that can help us unlock our full potential.
My most profound journey with psychedelics occurred last May, and I look forward to sharing my "Call to Action" poem slam and the breakthrough I experienced in overcoming my stubborn ego personas. Through the power of psychedelics, I've learned to embrace vulnerability and authenticity, shedding old layers of protection and self-preservation. Here are some fun, quirky facts about me:
One of my favorite ways to manage unhelpful emotions is by singing karaoke—usually at home and often without an audience, though I'm not shy if there happens to be one. It's more of a personal expression than a performance.
Writing and journaling about my experiences have also provided me with a significant outlet. I began confiding in my imaginary friend, "Dear Diary," back in the fifth grade. (A side note: this may have been inspired by the show "Ghostwriters," which aired from '92 to '95.) Recently, I've revived this habit using my notes app, and I've consistently kept it up for the past 3.5 years. I joke—though I’m quite serious—that I have enough original material from my series of peculiar life choices to pitch as a Netflix special. Maybe I should work on adapting it into a screenplay, and then you can be the judge! 🤷🏻♀️
To give you a tantalizing hint, the story has a Tarantino-esque flair, real-life dangers, and includes a recent incident (just two months ago) involving a samurai sword—not a Hattori Hanzo, but an Amazon knock-off that is surprisingly razor sharp. This tale features a cast of interweaving characters, many of whom deserve their own Netflix special. Throughout my journey over the last few years, I've met some incredibly resilient individuals alongside a few antagonists who would easily rank alongside Joffrey Baratheon in the dislike department. 👎👎😒 BooOoo
